Writing as blissful? I suppose I can be, but at the moment, that's years ago now, or was it another century? But, I have finally, finally, finally sent off the manuscript to the publisher. I don't know whether to be elated or throw up. I am so afraid I've made some boo-boo now that can't be corrected with incurring big costs. Maybe I should take a leaf out of Harris's book and go and have a nap.
I'm afraid the HOLE in question might be the publisher saying I have to "fix" something, or I discover that on my own, and I incur a huge cost to put things right. I think, like wise dogs already know (and cats too) that a nap is the solution to everything. Thanks for your good wishes! It should be out in May.
Thanks for the book recommendation, I have just put a hold on it at my library on my app, and I notice that it is the first in a trilogy, are you aware of that? it's always so exciting to find out that there are MORE books by favorite authors. Speaking of which, I love Elizabeth Goudge's work, do you know it? "The Dean's Watch" and "The Scent of Water" are probably my favorites of hers.

Harris says you should definitely have a nap! It’s the cure for everything. (And if it doesn’t work maybe go and dig a hole…)

I hadn’t seen that! I’ll definitely be reading. And thank you for the recommendation. I love it when there’s a series waiting for me. Xxxx
